Synopsis

Italian Genius is 3 parts series that puts a new spin on a classic myth, that of Italian Opera, describing the passions and techniques of three of its most vibrant innovators. Sir Antony Pappano, chief conductor of the Royal Opera House of London and the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, is a narrator of exception, that will take us inside the incredible lives of the three composers, revealing and exploring the energy and the torment that shaped their genius.
