Excellent ratings for the documentary Pope Francis. The Jorge Bergoglio Story, directed by Maite Carpio, rebroadcast last December 26 on RAI 3 in Great History. Pope Bergoglio attracted 1,426,000 viewers, for a share of 5.75% .

The documentary, shot in Argentina and Rome, follows the traces of the existence of a man destined to become pope, or "shepherd of souls": the childhood spent playing football on the streets of the Flores neighborhood of Buenos Aires , the strong bond with his grandmother Rosa, the decision to become a priest three days before he turned 33 years old.
